Miami FC 1-2 Rochester: Blues Almost Eliminated

Miami FC ‘s defeat tonight at Lockhart Stadium to US Open Cup semifinalist Rochester ended the Blues playoff hopes for all intents and purposes. A lack of urgency early translated to a sloppy beginning and a Rochester goal from Johnny Menyongar. Miami opened the second half strong and had a penalty shout not given early in the half.

Aron King pulled a goal back but soon thereafter Menyongar scored again and that was all she wrote for Miami FC.

Miami FC needs a miracle to make the playoffs: three successive wins coupled with three successive Vancouver loses. Additionally, Miami FC loses Gale after the next game in Rochester to the US U-20 World Cup team.
